Analysis of water - Drinking water, surface water, wastewater
![]() |
The water analysis in the department of chemical and physical analytics covers the determination of drinking water, surface water, groundwater and waste water following the legal regulations. The laboratory is accredited for the matrices water, drinking water and waste water according to the DIN EN ISO 17025.
We offer long standing experience and outstanding competence in
• consulting in all questions around water analysis
• representative sampling and careful sample handling
• the determination of numerous inorganic and organic compounds
• method development and method validation
• the assessment of the analytical results on the basis of the sample specifications
• the solution of complex analytical problems
Key aspects of competence in water analysis are:
• control of waste water and landfill leachate
• identification of dischargers of specific contaminants
• monitoring of surface water
• limit value monitoring, e.g. for drinking water

Modern analyzers and suitable techniques for sample preparation and precise analysis are available:
• measurement of key parameters like TOC and AOX
• routine trace analysis of inorganic parameters, e.g. with ICP-AES, AAS and ion chromatography
• routine trace analysis of organic compounds, e.g. with GC-MS, GC and HPLC
• specialties like voltammetry
• classical methods like titrations for highly contaminated waste water
These methods are verified and enhanced permanently.
