The department of chemical and physical analytics is an accredited laboratory following DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. The accreditation covers the range of determination and matrices described below:

The department is licensed as

• laboratory for wastewater (§ 4 ThürAbwEKVO)
• laboratory for waste and longstanding pollution (§ 7 ThAbfAG in comination with § 3 Abs. 1 ThürDepEKVO)
• laboratory for the physical, physical-chemical and chemical analysis of drinking water including sampling (§ 15 Abs. 4 Satz 2 TrinkwV)

In addition, the laboratory is approved for
