- Modern equipped lab for developing backfilling materials, backfilling mix designs, special mortars, building material systems and special products for mining application as well as for the quality improvement of potash fertilizer granulates
- Test lab for physical and building material’s characterizing of the K-UTEC’s design and development and of external test samples
- Investigation of wastes regarding their suitability for backfilling and dump material

- Particle size distribution evaluated by sieving, laser particle analysis and photo-optic analysis
- Pure, apparent, bulk and tapped density, liquid density, Proctor density
- Compression and tensile strength testing

- Measurement of the E-module
- Behaviour of compression and densification (short-term and long-term test)
- Behaviour of setting

- Rheologic investigations (viscosity and flow characteristic)
